About the Host:Theresa Grobler, the dynamic host and owner of Kingsgate Houses Property Management, boasts a rich career in the hospitality industry that began in 2006. Her journey started humbly as a hostess and progressed to a reservationist role at a 12-bedroom guesthouse. Under the mentorship of Anton Bosman in Mossel Bay, she mastered guesthouse management and marketing, gaining invaluable insights that laid the foundation for her career.

Theresa's career trajectory took her to Franschhoek, where she worked at the prestigious Mont Rochelle, a five-star guesthouse. There, she expanded her skills, learning the art of winemaking and luxury hospitality management under the ownership transitions from Miko Rwayitare to Sir Richard Branson.

Her expertise further flourished when she became a Personal Assistant to an Ultra High Net Worth Client in Mossel Bay, managing high-profile events and functions. In 2018, she took on the role of General Manager at Acorn Guest House in George, where she successfully expanded the property from a 9-bedroom guesthouse to an 11-bedroom guesthouse and built a 22-bedroom suite hotel.

Inspired by her success, Theresa founded Amot Hospitality in 2019, offering B&B training, coaching, business startups, and relief management services. Her proficiency led her to international opportunities in the South of France and Dubai, enhancing her global perspective on property management.

Theresa's dedication to the Garden Route and South African tourism remains unwavering. She took over Kingsgate Houses from Talana Swanevelder, driven by her passion for the region. She also established a WhatsApp forum with over 120 members, fostering a supportive community for guesthouses in George and surrounding areas.

Today, Theresa Grobler continues to provide top-notch property management, coaching, and business consulting services, ensuring that every home and business under her care thrives. Her extensive experience and deep-rooted knowledge make her the go-to expert for property management in George and beyond.
